Butterflies and Zebras

This piece represents a new direction in painting for me. Except for the laughing face, it is created entirely with a palette knife using oil and cold wax medium. It allows for such spontaneity in the process and more expressive abstraction. The image represents the relationship with my dear friend and collaborator, Linda Goss. Her spirit is innately joyful, she inspires me thru thick and thin. Both cancer survivors, we faced our battles together giving each other courage and joy.
